About our festival of authentic Jazz… The 2011 Jazz By Night Celebration was held in memory of Charles Fambrough (1950–2011) at 13 indoor restaurant venues in downtown Media and features a diverse variety of acts that perform genuine Jazz - from Traditional and Classic to BeBop and Hard Swing, and from Avant-Garde to NuJazz.We have a full evening of music, so make a reservation now at your favorite Media restaurant! WRTI 90.1 FM, Philly’s premier Jazz radio station, is our co-sponsor. "It reminds me of New Orleans or festivals in Europe... Media does agreat job to get the music out there and educate the people. It's great to see the young people out... carrying on the music." - World-renowned Jazz saxophonist Odean Pope Last year’s event showcased “The Women of Jazz”.
