2017's Lineup:

Begun in 2003, The Americana Roots Ramble is presented in April and features a diverse variety of American Roots Music: from Early Rock & Roll and Rockabilly to Folk, Swing and Alternative Country. Acts are presented in over 20 indoor venues. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the festival and our lineup once again includes CHARLIE GRACIE!

We are happy to welcome two new venues aboard this year - Table 11 and Pairings.

We are all sad that the irrepressable music icon Chuck Berry has passed on to Rock & Roll Heaven. We mourn his loss, but we will continue to celebrate his life and music. Just about every Roots act at this year's event will perform at least one of Chuck's songs.

To say that Mr. Berry will be sorely missed would be the understatement of all time. In his recent article in the Inquirer, music critic Dan Deluca aptly described Chuck as "... the immeasureably influential guitarist and songwriter who - more than any other single individual - was responsible for the invention of Rock & Roll... Mr. Berry was a mongrel mix of influences." [A true complimentary comment]. Chuck was a major
current in that Big River Tradition of American Roots Music. Some would describe parts of that river as Chuck Berry himself.

We have a full evening of music, so make a reservation now at your favorite Media restaurant!

"Think of SXSW in the early days, run a trolley down the middle, that's the Roots Ramble in Media." - Philadelphia City Paper.

WXPN 88.5 FM has annually selected the Roots Ramble as a Member Event and this year has selected the Roots Ramble as an XPN Welcomes Event.
