In March of 1951, record producer Dave Miller of Media, Pa. persuaded Bill Haley and the Saddlemen to add some drums and record Ike Turner/Jackie Brenston's R&B hit "Rocket 88." The release on Miller's Holiday Label was Haley's first rock n' roll recording. The rest is history... The Roots Ramble Honors that History
